We will make use of copper tape, button batteries and LEDs to make simple paper and card based circuits to illuminate cut outs and pop-up cards.
No prior experience neccessary. All ages welcome. Children need to be accompanied by an adult. There will be scissors, glue guns and craft knives at the workshop (although their use is not necessary).
This is a drop-in workshop and will entail:
• Demonstrations of equipment, materials, tools
• Demonstrations of techniques
• Creation of a pop-up card using worksheets/templates
• Working on own designs independently with floating support.
• Advanced techniques – switches, animations, multiple LEDs, using ICs (chips)
This event is possible thanks to funding from The ITV People’s Projects
