Yorke Dance Project presents Figure Ground

Yorke Dance Project return to the Merlin Theatre with a rich and dynamic programme of new work.

Bringing together the work of three generations of choreographers Figure Ground features the world premiere of – Lingua Franca – a brand new work by, Robert Cohan, the father figure of contemporary dance in Britain.

Eight compellingly athletic performers at the peak of their physical powers perform works by Cohan, 17 year old choreographer Charlotte Edmonds who has created her first professional work and company Artistic Director Yolande Yorke Edgell.

An evening of brilliant dancing that is rooted in tradition whilst blazing its way into the future.
