Will Lawton’s piano-based songs and Weasel’s superb drumming on a stripped-down kit make a heady and hypnotic sound that’s both highly original and hugely accessible. The duo released their debut album, ‘Fossils of the Mind’ in 2018 and are amassing a strong reputation in the West Country. The band are now joined by an additional member, Buddy Fonzarelli on upright bass and plan to release a new EP in May 2019.
“The music of Will Lawton and Weasel Howlett fearlessly dips its foot pedals into folk, jazz, drum and bass and a smattering of indie, all served up with intelligent piano playing, intricate drum patterns and a husky voice. Beautifully arranged music.” Dancing With Architecture
“Get your ears around some wonderful Americana” BBC Introducing
“Refreshing, fascinating and exciting. Perhaps this is what Tom O’Dell fronting Wilco would sound like if produced by Roni Size? Regardless of how chaotic this sounds, it works. I mean it really works.” The Ocelet Magazine
