All aboard for Frome Youth Choir’s spring concert!
With just a few days to go until their annual free spring concert, the young singers in Frome Youth Choir are busy perfecting their brand new repertoire of songs.
The free concert is at 3pm on Saturday 28 March in Christ Church in Frome and is guaranteed to put a spring in your step!
The theme of this concert is ‘journey’ and the songs include well-known favourites like ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from the film Moana and ‘Song of the Sea’ from the film of the same name, as well as lovely but less familiar numbers like ‘Engine, Engine’ and ‘Calico Pie’.
Frome Youth Choir is for young people aged 6-14 years from Frome and the surrounding area. It is run by Musical Director Steph Collishaw, who has been a music teacher in and around Frome for over 20 years. She is currently Head of Prep Music at Warminster School.
She said:
‘Spring has sprung and our young songbirds are looking forward to spreading music and joy at our annual spring concert on Saturday 28 March.
‘Everyone is very welcome and there will be delicious cakes on sale after the concert, kindly baked or donated by the children’s parents and carers.’
Any parents or carers wanting to find out more about Frome Youth Choir can contact Steph at youthchoirfrome@gmail.com or after the concert.
