Author Ivan Cooper’s account of his travels is the extraordinary story of a journey across eastern Tibet inspired by the work of pioneering 18th century Jesuit priest, Ippolito Desideri. The book has been adopted as a ‘Festival Read’ and would be an excellent book group choice. Ivan is here to talk about his experiences, the place and the people, and how his Tibetan journey forced him to re-evaluate himself and the certainties of the culture he grew up in.
