Live iron casting, a modern art cake stall and a ‘have-a-go’ graffiti wall are among the innovative attractions bringing a brand new fete-themed dimension to Frome’s popular Art Car Boot, celebrating its 10th anniversary on Sunday 12 July.
Organiser, Black Swan Arts, has enlisted the support of Mount Art Services to oversee the entertainment at the Old Cattle Market Car Park from 10am-4pm, joining over 50 artists and designers who will have their creations on sale at the event.
With ceramics, prints, paintings, textiles, jewellery and much more on show, visitors have the chance to meet the makers face-to-face, while enjoying the Art Car Boot’s own unique take on the traditional summer fete. Frome’s Black Inc Tattoo Studio will be lending its artistic flair to the face painting stall, and those attending can try their hand at games including ‘pin the monobrow on the Frida’, a paper aeroplane competition and a coconut shy, run by Mount’s own Simon Keyte.
The Art Car Boot is free to attend and will take place on the final day of Frome Festival, running from Friday 3 July to Sunday 12 July.
