Update – 2nd November
Unfortunately, this walk is cancelled – Frome’s Walking Festival was due to take place on the weekend of Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November, but due to national lockdown restrictions this is unable to take place.
If you have booked a ticket already we will be in touch, the walks may be rescheduled by the walk leader at a later date.
During lockdown you are able to go out and enjoy the outdoors either with your household or with one other person. So you don’t need to wait to explore in and around our beautiful town you can download one of our walks from the town walks page.
Part of Frome’s Walking Festival 2020.
Pubs of Frome will take in the sites of a dozen pubs and inns – both past and present – to give the histories of each and put them in the social context of the times.
Learn about the town’s very own breweries, bankrupt landlords, an historic pub-crawl, rioting and the many various nefarious activities which took place behind some of the walls of these local hostelries.
Based on the best-selling book ‘Historic Inns of Frome’. The walk will last ninety minutes.
The walk is led by local historian and Frome Times Past columnist David Lassman.
Book your ticket here.
All walks are limited to a max. of 6 (5 participants and 1 walk leader) to adhere to the Government covid guidelines.
