Frome Consort: Baroque Concertos

Frome Consort formed in 2016 to play the music of JS Bach and his contemporaries and have quickly established a reputation for lively and expressive performance of Baroque repertoire on modern instruments.

This year’s Frome Festival programme includes Marcello Oboe Concerto in Dm (soloist James Watts), Vivaldi’s Flute Concerto in D ‘Il Gardellino’ (soloist Leslie Sheills), Bach Violin Concerto in Am (soloist Ruth O’Shea) and Telemann: Concerto in Em for Recorder & Flute.

There will be an interval of 20 minutes with tea and coffee available.

Frome Consort 2021 are: Leslie Sheills (flute), James Watts (oboe), Neil Moore (recorder), Lucy Hewson, Jamie Hughes & Ruth O’Shea (violins), Tim Robb (viola), Linda Stocks (cello), Bethan Foister (bass) & Jacquelyn Bevan (harpsichord).
