Brings together some of the UK’s most stunning old bikes under one roof with more than 50 clubs and hundreds of exhibitors displaying a variety of machines.
Among the gems are a trio from indefatigable octogenarian Henry Body starting with the Douglas sprinter with which he’s synonymous. This year he’s also bringing a veteran 1913 Williamson – the fascinating fore-and-aft 1000cc watercooled flat-twin – and it’s a rare opportunity to study one of few precious survivors. Completing Henry’s line-up is a 1939 500cc DKW two-stroke, an incredibly rare sight on these shores, especially unrestored as this one is.
Away from the displays and it’s time to draw up a shopping list as there will be hundreds of traders and autojumble plots packed into the halls offering visitors the chance to get their hands on rare spares, accessories, riding kit and other items to ensure bikes are in top condition for the year of riding ahead.
Charterhouse will host a motorcycle auction with lots including a collection of barn-find bikes perfect for restorers looking for their next project.
