Bass clarinet, oboe and cor anglais is a combination you may not have encountered before but these performers certainly employ the timbres of their instruments to conjure a rich, compelling sound world.
The programme includes works by Karg-Elert, Bach and Beethoven.
This event is part of the Frome Concerts Group Teatime series of classical music concerts on Sundays in Rook Lane Chapel. Audience members are invited to arrive a little early and enjoy complimentary tea and biscuits. Three one hour concerts feature professional artists at the start of their career and feature a wonderful variety of ensembles and repertoire; an Early music group, an unusual reed trio and a saxophone and accordion duo. The final, two hour event is given by the Eblana String Trio, a more established ensemble.
Wonderful music to warm Autumn afternoons!
Tickets can be bought individually or as a subscription to the whole series.
