Gospel of Mary Friendly Study Group

All welcome, of any or no faith, to a non-hierarchical study group exploring this early non-conformist text.

The gospel of Mary Magdalene presents an early form of Christianity with strong Buddhist echoes, which promoted the role of women and spoke out against unhelpful rules and authority. Not original sin but original goodness! We use a Quaker study method to contemplate this short but powerful text together, in a way that everyone’s insights and lived experience are equally valued.
