Baz Jellicoe presents Hutch.
Hutch is an award-winning, contemporary comedy with a serious streak, examining the injustices and absurdities of renting in reduced circumstances.
An adult chatline operator with a troubled past; a librarian and ex-convict; and a teenage runaway with a secret, share an attic divided into ‘hutches’. They eke out a meek existence while navigating everyday life amid the housing and cost of living crises. But when their rogue landlord plans to exploit them further, they are forced to choose between surrender or resistance.
Hutch is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023.
