This Sunday 2nd September at 1pm, Mendip Trio (Carole Jenner-Timms – flute, Simon Naylor – oboe & Jacquelyn Bevan – piano) are giving a 45-minute informal concert at The Bennett Centre, Vicarage Street, Frome, BA11 1PU (walk towards Lidl from Cheap Street and it’s on LH side).
Entitled ‘A Song & Dance’, with music by composers from Quantz to Richard Rodney Bennett, and including the delightful ‘Miniatures’ by William Grant Still, the concert is suitable for ages. A highlight is the slow movement of Madeleine Dring’s trio – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYai2McpLTE
Entry is free with a retiring collection; proceeds go towards the refurbishment of the Bennett Centre.
Come along to the Frome Independent market and join us just as it’s finishing…
