Afternoon Concert at Jackdaws

Marta Fontanals-Simmons (mezzo-soprano) and Lana Bode (pianist) will be performing together at Jackdaws on Friday 6th December: 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Marta and Lana will be performing songs from their new album ‘Somnia’ which includes three under-performed song cycles by Ethel Smyth, George Crumb and Frederic Mompou.

At a busy end of the year, this programme offers a moment of remembrance and reflection, bookended by Festive songs to ease you gently into the season.

Join us in our cosy studio at Jackdaws in Great Elm – an oasis of calm from the seasonal maelstrom and enjoy a world class afternoon of beautiful music.

There will be an interval with refreshments available to purchase, including tea/coffee, cakes, mince pies and mulled wine.
