In a lively and memorable last night of The Kindness Festival, The Merlin Theatre turns into Paris for a ‘Secret Cinema’ style gala screening of Amelie complete with fancy dress, live music and unexpected pop up theatrics. Bring a group of friends and help contribute to our fundraising efforts.
Amelie is in a class of its own – a funny, stylish and heart-warming celebration of the messiness of kindness. After finding a hidden box of childhood treasures Amelie vows to dedicate herself to discretely committing acts of kindness. But orchestrating joy for others is not without its pitfalls and her own forays into love and life are anything but straightforward.
Shot in over eighty Parisian locations and under the whimsical gaze of Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Amélie is a one of a kind classic.
Feel free to come dressed as a character from the film, or inspired by the film’s look and feel!
Screening introduced by the Mayor of Frome: Sara Butler

We suggest a donation of £12 for the whole evening (including screening, live music, pop-up theatrics, themed canapes, fairground games, popcorn) or £4 for the film alone (screening begins approx. 8pm)
