Wild Mendip
Restoring Habitats in East Mendip
Events supported by the Torr Environmental Enhancement Fund
Somerset Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to help us manage the old SWT reserve at Asham Wood, Mendip’s largest and most biodiverse ancient semi-natural woodland, with support from the owners of the site. Training will be provided in coppicing techniques by a local coppicer, Harry Samuel. If you are interested in joining a volunteer day with SWT, come join us in the woods and brush up on your skills in this ancient technique.
