What is Authentic Relating?
Authentic Relating (AR) refers to a set of practices designed to create deep, meaningful, and genuine connections between people. It involves games and exercises that encourage vulnerability, empathy, and the expression of one’s true self. Originating in the early 2000s in San Francisco, AR has blossomed into a global movement, touching lives in various corners of the world.
This movement is grounded in the understanding that authenticity is the key to fulfilling relationships. Instead of trying to change ourselves, we simply bring awareness and presence to parts of ourselves that might be vulnerable, scared, ashamed, lonely or longing for connection. With a history steeped in the desire for deeper human connection, AR offers a refreshing contrast to the often superficial interactions of our daily lives.

About the Workshop
This community-building event is open to everyone in the area and free of charge.
We believe in the inclusivity of all genders, cultures, and backgrounds, and strive to create a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.
In our series, we will explore some of over 600 authentic relating games and practices, including ‘Circling’. Circling is an AR practice akin to a relational meditation. It’s a powerful tool for shadow work, allowing participants to be seen and understood by a group. It also helps in recognizing and acknowledging physical sensations and emotional responses in the presence of others which can make a profound difference in situations of trigger, activation, conflict or other situations of perceived separation.
Embark on a journey with us where every conversation is an opportunity for growth, every interaction a step closer to understanding, and every moment an invitation to be authentically you.
Let’s build a community where everyone is seen, heard, and valued.
