BASSES GALORE! is a massed double bass concert to celebrate the birthdays of composers Tony Osborne, John Alexander and Armand Russell. An exciting programme of double bass solos and ensembles performed by DAVE’S BASS BAND (18 double bassists) features bassists of all ages from across the South-West, with guest soloists Sarah Poole (soprano) and Derek Harris (piano). PRE-CONCERT PROMENADE – join us from 2.15pm onwards for an informal programme of new music from around the world. Enjoy a glass of wine and pre-concert snacks alongside great music – free of charge to ticket holders.
The concert is in aid of MARIE CURIE UK.
