The Bishop’s Palace Garden Festival

9th Jun 2017 @ 10:00 - 11th Jun 2017 @ 17:00

£6.99

The third English Country Garden Festival will take place at The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens in Wells, Somerset
The annual event was first launched by Alan Titchmarsh in 2015, and is a celebration of the horticultural heritage held within the plantsman’s paradise of The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens.
Visitors can experience the award winning gardens, which recently featured on BBC Gardener’s World, filled with talks, stalls, hands-on demonstrations, refreshments, entertainment, top gardening personalities, and new ideas on how to use and love their gardens.
There will be an exciting line-up of guest speakers throughout the festival. On Friday morning, Matthew Biggs, a regular panellist on BBC Gardener’s Question Time, will open the festival before giving a speech. Gardening writer and broadcaster Anne Swithinbank will speak in the afternoon. Tamsin Westthorpe, former Editor of The Country Garden and Director of Stockton Bury Gardens will begin the day, with Alan Power, the Garden and Estate Manager at Stourhead in the afternoon. Bath Priory Hotel Head Gardener and BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Jane Moore will speak on Sunday morning, and the festival will finish with a lecture by superstar garden designer Cleve West, who has won Best Show Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show multiple times.
