This is our 10th anniversary festival and we want to make this an extra special birthday celebration of childhood.
This year’s event is ticketed. When you register for your free tickets, please consider making a donation.
Highlights from previous years include zip wires across the river, fantastic sounds from Frome Street Bandits, Frome Samba and Rocktapus; amazing theatre from Little Bulb, Noisy Oyster, Jellyfish Theatre and Open Storytellers; activities with The Pod and Shared Earth Learning. We’ve had a giant turtle, music-recording in a professional studio, green screen and special FX filming, a sensory tent, face-painting, den-building, BMX bikes, free make-your-own wrap stall, creative art and crafts areas, model-making workshops from Aardman and of course the Frome Dragon!
We design and deliver this fabulous event together with local young people – so they learn event-organising and publicity skills, and, with your support, local young people can also run workshops at the event, to deliver something we can all be proud of.
The festival is open to all and we make it as accessible as possible so that everyone can attend. We’ve previously included accessible dance from Flamingo Chicks, wheelchair basketball from Nova Sports and Coaching, and theatre performances with signing. We’ve had an adapted harness on the zip wire so everyone can have the chance to fly over the river! With support workers available during the day, fast passes for children with additional needs and easy to read signage, the event offers something rarely accessible to the whole community. Without your support they might miss out on this valuable opportunity.

Tickets are required for entry – they are FREE – donations are optional for those who can afford it.
Order x1 ticket for each person attending; make just one donation of between £5 and £500 per family*
Please take a moment to donate to support our charity and make this year’s Frome Children’s Festival the best yet.
Thank you.
