CHRIST CHURCH SINGERS – BYRD, BRITTEN AND VAUGHAN WILLIAMS

To mark 400 years since the death of William Byrd in July 1623, Christ Church Singers present a programme featuring a selection of Byrd’s beautiful motets alongside Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G minor for double choir, itself strongly influenced by the music of Byrd’s time and first performed a century ago, and Benjamin Britten’s vibrant cantata Rejoice in the Lamb, all in the glorious acoustic of Christ Church.
