With Angela Barnes, Caroline Mabey, Ben Cohen and hosted by Matthew McAloone!
Headlined by the hilarious Angela Barnes! Angela swapped a career in health and social care for stand-up in 2010 and hasn’t looked back.
Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and toured around the country with her stand-up shows. Angela has starred in BBC Two’s Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, House of Games, and Hypothetical on Dave. She is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz – including a recent stint as the host. She has also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack. Angela co-hosts the less-than-serious popular podcast We Are History (Acast) with John O’Farrell. The two history nerds discuss, explain, and laugh at interesting and quirky episodes from the olden days.
Opening the show is Caroline Mabey! One of the most inventive comic voices in Britain, Caroline is a fringe and circuit favourite, appearing at festivals, theatres and clubs all around the country. Silly, warm and sharp as hell, she always creates a gag-packed frenzy of fun. She is a brilliant and accomplished MC, having been resident compere at the 99 Club for ten years.
Caroline has recently appeared on Comedy Central as part of their Performance Anxiety campaign, and in Before the Morning After on NBC’s Digital Comedy Channel, Seeso. She also features in Josh Howie’s Losing It (Series 1 and 2) on BBC Radio 4 and has written for Radio 4’s News Quiz. She has supported Hal Cruttenden on tour and has five solo Edinburgh shows to her name. She is one half of double act the Two Stupids with Michael Legge, and co-hosts the popular Self-Renovators podcast.
With rising star Ben Cohen! London based stand up, Ben, was New Jewish Comedian finalist in 2018 and Up The Creek’s One to Watch Finalist 2019. He has over 10 Million views on TikTok with his sketch duo, The Lovely Boys. He performs his quirky style of observational comedy in clubs up and down the UK and Europe also taking his act to Israel and LA.
Hosted by Northern Irish comic and BBC Comedy Award finalist, Matthew McAloone!
