Join us for a conversation about creating a town that shares even more than we do already and shape Frome’s greener, healthier future.
Frome has pioneered community sharing, being one of the first towns in the UK to have a SHARE:Shop on our high street, sharing outposts dotted around town and a Community Fridge.
Join us to discuss what more we can do in Frome to share resources, consume less and connect more as a community. Together we’ll be asking:
What next – what more can we share? And what might be the new ways that we share between neighbours and neighbourhoods?
If we shared more, might we reduce loneliness and increase community connectedness?
How do we increase the quality and value of the resources that we share?
We’ll ensure that everyone can play a role in shaping sharing projects that secure a greener, healthier Frome. Lots of this event will be spent in small groups, sharing ideas and supporting them to grow into potential future projects.
We’ll also get inspiration and ideas from our speakers:
Sue Willis – Director, Purple Elephant (who run Frome’s Toy Library); Vince Tillman – Homeshare Mendip; Kate Hellard – Community Development Manager, supporting the growth of Frome’s Neighbourhood Networks, Frome Town Council; Johannes Moeller – Managing Director, Edventure:Frome
This event is facilitated by Future Shed Frome, part of the Lottery funded Green & Healthy Future Programme.
