Mel and Neil have been hosting Dying Matters at The Good Heart for nearly 2 years, providing a monthly space for people experiencing grief and loss in all its forms. They would like to meet with others who encounter and support people who are dying or grieving, to share experiences, and consider what else we can do to support our community, and ourselves, in this work. This is also an opportunity to thank you for the incredible work you do and to think about how we can join up grief and dying support in the Frome area.
Expect a warm welcome, a brief talk about Dying Matters, friendly conversation and wraps to eat (followed by cake!). We welcome your own thoughts and expertise relating to grief work, but as in Dying Matters meetings, you are also welcome just to listen.
Limited spaces, booking essential
Neil Croom has a BA in Health and Community Studies and worked in mental health for twenty years as a psychiatric nurse and subsequently a play therapist. He is a qualified coach who now runs his own coaching business in Frome. www.coachingforlifefrome.co.uk.
Melanie Dalton has many years of facilitation experience and is currently training as an Art Psychotherapist. She became interested in grief following an experience of baby loss.
Booking essential – and please add a donation to help with the costs of organising this event. Any surplus will go towards the work of The Good Heart – providing pay-it-forward meals, a warm space and promoting kindness – and will enable The Good Heart to organise another Kindness Festival in 2025. Thank you!
We are in the process of redeveloping the Discover Frome website, and invite you to share your views on the current site with us.
