East 17
Founded in 1992, the group’s name came from the postcode for Walthamstow. East 17 notched up eighteen Top 20 singles and four Top 10 albums, and were one of the most famous acts in the world during the early to mid 1990s. East 17 were Tony Mortimer, Brian Harvey, John Hendy and Terry Coldwell. Nowadays, the lead vocal has been taken up by Robbie Craig of Artful Dodger fame. John Hendy and Terry Coldwell make up the trio.
Blazin’ Squad (Mc Freak, Mello, Spike E & Reepa)
Blazin’ Squad were an English group, whose music was a mixture of hip hop, R&B and UK garage. The group had seven top ten hits, including “Crossroads”, a cover version of the Bone Thugs-n-Harmony original.
