Please join us for Edventure SOUP – an evening put on by Edventure Start-Up students involving soup, bread, discussion, community and who knows what else.
The aim of Edventure Soup is to gather a community of support around the team and their project. Please do come along if you:
Edventure SOUP marks the start of the students’ journey. The team will have met for the first time on Monday and are embarking on a challenge to make ideas real. Tonight, they will introduce themselves, present their project and ask for your ideas, input and support to make their project come to life.
The theme for Edventure’s 14th team of Start-Up will be to create a community bike workshop on the site of The Bike Shed at Critchill School, Frome. Somewhere for local people to learn/share skills, to repair, maintain and refurb bikes.
The student team could put together all kinds of different programmes, from refurbishing bikes for resale, to offering drop-in repair services and bike MOT sessions – they’d love to what you’d like to see/what your family would use.
The project is a partnership between Edventure, Critchill School and their Bike Shed, Frome Town Council, Frome Missing Links, and other groups. The aim is to get more people in Frome on two wheels more often, and to bring people together, to upskill people, cut carbon emissions, save land-fill waste and create meaningful employment opportunities.
And there’ll be soup!
We are in the process of redeveloping the Discover Frome website, and invite you to share your views on the current site with us.
