REMAKERY: FROME & ARTVENTURES PRESENT – EXPLORE SEWING/TEXTILES UPCYCLING
Join Aliss Vaas of artventures.org.uk for this FREE craft workshop and make an upcycled item for the picnic season!. Choose to make a lunch sac, tent bunting or drink-bottle holder.
Use colourful recycled tents scavenged from Glastonbury (cleaned of course!) You can also pick out other tent fittings such as buckles, velcro or cord to embellish your new items.
This day is structured as 2 x 2.5 hour workshops. Please choose your preferred slot when booking.
During this workshop you’ll
You’ll be:
• using a template or design your own
• cutting out tent fabric
• using a sewing machine or hand stitch to join together
No prior experience neccessary but some sewing experience is desirable. Ages 8+ welcome. Children need to be accompanied by an adult.
Aliss has a studio at The Welsh Mill and teaches craft & sewing courses. As 1/2 of Frome Light the Night, she facilitates lantern workshops in schools and community settings. For more information see: artventures.org.uk
