This 2-day facilitation training course is designed for people who manage teams, work with groups in the community, run events, chair meetings and facilitate group coaching sessions, and would like to develop their facilitation skills.

It draws on a number of theories of groups but in its essence, it is a practical, hands-on training which draws on the experiences of the participants to develop skills and build confidence in supporting groups & teams and working through challenging group dynamics.

About the workshop lead, Doug Stewart
Doug Stewart is currently Edventure’s CEO, his background is in supporting a range of different groups to reach consensus and tackle difficult subjects; whether that be facilitating leaders with in a variety of organisations to develop high level strategies, or facilitating the young adults on Edventure’s start-up course to deliver grassroots change. Doug brings a range of skills and facilitation techniques to this 2 day training course.
About the workshop lead, Colin Atkinson
Colin Atkinson is an Edventure Facilitator who leads our Short Courses and Start-up Course. He developed his facilitation skills in the classroom, working in public private parterships in the education sector, and working in NHS transformation teams.

2) When and where will the series of workshops take place?
The workshop comprises of two days, both from 9.30 to 1pm on Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June.
The workshop will take place at Frome Town Hall.
3) How much does the course cost?
For most Somerset Residents the course will either be free or subsidised. A free ticket includes a £5 booking fee to encourage attendance and avoid no-shows. A subsidised ticket costs £34 .
