Festival Choral Evensong

Enjoy the glories of a traditional Choral Evensong in the magnificent Parish Church of St John the Baptist, the building for which J.W Singer created some fine pieces which are still used regularly in services today.

This evening’s music, sung by the combined choirs of St John’s and St Katharine’s will include the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Thomas Walmisley, a contemporary of Singer’s, and the anthem, Locus Iste by Bruckner.

Also in the church will be displays on the theme ‘Singer’s legacy at home and abroad’, with accompanying floral arrangements.
