FMTC presents Hairspray

The Frome Musical Theatre Company welcomes you to the 1960’s with the wonderful upbeat musical, Hairspray!
It’s June 1962 in Baltimore where plus-sized teenager Tracy Turnblad is obsessed with The Corny Collins Show and one of its dancers, Link Larkin. Though rejected by producer Velma Von Tussle at auditions, when Tracy shows off some moves at the Sophomore Hop, Corny Collins gives her a place on the show. Tracy is soon launched to stardom, but can’t stand that the show won’t allow integration and does everything in her power to make it happen.
With wonderful musical numbers such as Good Morning Baltimore – You’re Timeless to Me and the showstopper, You Can’t Stop The Beat, this is one not to be missed!!!
