Yoga can be a great exercise for body and mind. It’s a gentle, low-impact way of moving with a focus on breathing. There’s some evidence to suggest that yoga had positive effect on mood, lowers blood pressure, can help sooth aches and pains from modern living (e.g. back and wrists), reduces inflammation and can help you sleep well.
Emilie has been teaching movement classes since 2009 and is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her approach to teaching is non-dogmatic, playful and curious. There’s no chanting in Sanskrit, but maybe the odd pop song here and there. The class probably won’t look like instagram yoga. There’s no pressure to do anything, no previous experience and no bendiness level required.
