Peace and reconciliation may seem a long way away still in occupied Palestine, but a pioneering project led by Parents Circle-Families Forum is pointing the way. The Forum brings Israelis and Palestinians together who have one thing in common: they are all grieving the loss of a child. On Sunday November 22, Frome Friends of Palestine will be screening “Two-Sided Story”, a remarkable film directed by Tor Ben-Mayor, about the Forum’s work. It documents a process through which people from opposing sides, normally bound by hatred, can witness and find compassion for other people’s suffering. We will be joined by Frome’s Jo Berry, renowned for her reconciliation work world-wide for questions and answers, after this very real and powerful journey into a celebration of the human spirit and its amazing ability to see the other side of the story.
