Frome Carnival Duck Race

One of Frome Carnival’s favourite traditions is the annual duck race
along Frome river. This year it will take place on 2nd September at
14:00. A spectacular 1000 plastic ducks are launched from Jenson Button
Bridge in the centre of Frome and
travel along the river.

Ducks are ‘sold’ for just £1 and there are cash prizes for the first two
ducks to cross the finish line! The duck which comes in last will get
the £1 investment returned… You can purchase a duck before the race
and from 13:30 on the day by the Jenson Button Bridge.

The money raised from the duck race helps ensure that we can put the
Carnival on each year.
