Climate change is complex topic that touches many parts of our lives.
We might consider it’s impact on our health and wellbeing, our choice of lifestyle, how we choose to spend our money, what it means for people we care about, or how it affects our mood and emotions every day.
We are delighted to re-start Frome’s monthly climate cafe, for anyone looking for a welcoming space to either voice their experiences, or simply come along and listen.
Wherever you are on your ‘climate journey’ this is an invitation to be met exactly where you are, to make some connections in the local area, and to learn from eachother as we live in this caring community together. You might leave feeling as though you’ve had a chance to make sense of an unspoken feeling or having built stronger ties in the area to navigate what can often feel impossible.
This is less about taking ‘action’ – although that is important too, and more about exploring our personal experiences and building understanding and empathy. We’ll be guided by a light structure and share readings or resources to explore as a group.
Benefits of these conversations are felt the most when they are regular and we begin to build relationships in the group, so we encourage you to come along as much as you can, if you can join for all 3, wonderful, and if it’s just one that’s fine too. We’ll be continuing the cafes into 2024 as well.
There will be snacks and warm drinks, and we’re thankful to the Good Heart Warm Spaces Project and Green and Healthy Frome for making this possible.
