The Matron of Frome Community Hospital, Hayley Hughes is making a special ‘big invitation’ to the community to come and meet with her and her nursing team to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the hospital, that opened in October 2008, and which has acted as a catalyst for the development of a new-era of modern medical services for the town.
The open afternoon will allow the public to meet with key specialist medical staff, and where possible be given a behind the scenes tour of the various departments. Around the hospital will be a number of displays organised by the clinical and administrative staff that will provide an in-sight into the diverse range of clinics and services now being offered by the hospital. Also, the Friends of Frome Hospital will be in support highlighting their voluntary ‘here to enhance patient care’ policy in the community.
The highlight for the afternoon will be an ‘open forum’ at 15.30 pm. when visitors will be able to ask Matron, her nursing staff, and other representatives from the NHS about the first ten years of the hospital and its future direction.
