Featured guest is Rob Barratt, comic poet, humourist and singer whose performance combines word-play, verse and song with satire, parody and audience participation, showing festivals throughout UK and abroad that ‘”Planet Barratt” is a place of wonderfully bizarre inspiration’. And of course there’s our popular Open Mic event to choose the new FESTIVAL POET LAUREATE! With this year’s theme of Frankenstein in mind, we’re hoping for monstrously wild poems inspired by any aspect of Mary Shelley’s story – one lucky reader grabs the coveted certificate and bottle of bubbly.
