Frome Missing Link Event

As a thank you for supporting Frome’s Missing Links we, along with Sustrans and Frome Town Council, invite you to the opening event to mark the completion of the first phase of our project, and kick off the campaign to complete phase two!

The theme of the event is “The Bicycle Illuminations” and we are asking supporters to attend as brightly lit as possible – with bicycle lights, high viz. LEDs or any kind of flashing device that you can muster. (Be as creative and imaginative as you like!) This will be a fun event – your bright lights, your bikes looking pretty, music, food and drinks on sale and a procession.
The entrance to the event is the access road next to the railway bridge on Welshmill Lane (it will be well signposted), and we will gather in the field next to the river at 5.30pm
There will be some entertainment and stalls, with the Mayor of Frome performing the official opening ceremony at approximately 6pm, and presenting a prize to the “best lit up”!
Supporters will then take part in a procession along the short section of cycle path to Welshmill
