Frome Symphony entertains with stirring classical favourites.
Frome Symphony Orchestra returns to the Festival, performing an exciting programme featuring Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major. This entertaining work is from the height of the jazz and art deco age, with some Basque folk music thrown in for good measure. Some will remember Mussorgsky’s Night on a Bare Mountain from Disney’s Fantasia and the concert will conclude with Saint-Saëns’ rousing ‘Organ Symphony’.
Frome Symphony is conducted by Mark Gateshill, and the piano soloist is Catherine Duncan.
