Frome Symphony Orchestra: Beethoven and Dvořák

Frome Symphony is delighted to welcome Lukas Hank back as soloist in the violin concerto by Beethoven. One of Beethoven’s most popular pieces, this is a tour de force for the soloist and orchestra alike. In the second half of the concert, the orchestra performs Dvořák’s 7th symphony. Although not performed as frequently as the New World symphony, the 7th is arguably Dvořák’s finest work incorporating beautiful melodies and engaging dance tunes from 19th century Bohemia.
