Outside Insight concert series

Prize-winning, internationally acclaimed jazz pianist and composer John Law, returns to his classical roots with a unique, personal re-working of J.S. Bach’s famous, enigmatic masterpiece, the Goldberg Variations. With added electronic, ambient opening and closing bookends, Bach’s work is presented in a straight reading, on piano, with added visuals.

The complete score, including John Law’s added electronic opening and closing compositions, has been stylishly visualised by the award winning animator David Daniels (known for his work with Led Zeppelin and Bryan Adams). Visuals are operated live by musician / VJ artist Patrick Dunn, changing the pace of the film to fit the live performance of the music.
