This is classic ballet with a contemporary aesthetic.Irreverent choreographer Liz Aggiss delves into ballet tales to find death and disaster; Morgann Runacre-Temple presents imaginatively surreal articulations of the female body; Sleeping Beauty comes alive with a new score by Tom Armstrong, after Tchaikovsky: and Matthew Hart explores love and loss deftly woven into Malcolm Arnold’s vibrant Concerto for Two Pianos (Three Hands).Together this is an evening of high quality entertainment and thought-provoking artistry.
