IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SIEGFRIED SASSOON

A poetry walk around the village of Mells building on the success of the 2017 Festival Walk ‘In the Footsteps of Edward Thomas’. This easy 3-mile walk features readings from a selection of First World War poets, men and women. There is a particular emphasis on the poems of Siegfried Sassoon who is buried in Mells Churchyard. The walk will be led by writers Crysse Morrison and John Payne, and Festival President Martin Bax. Tea available at the Village Shop or the Walled Garden. Please car share or come on foot or by cycle. Meeting place in Mells on tickets.
