Jazz: Goran Schmidt & The Graham Dent Trio

3rd Sunday jazz at The Cornerhouse :
GORAN SCHMIDT, tenor saxophonist from Croatia, is guesting with the Graham Dent Trio. With a no nonsense approach to improvisation, Goran is equally at home on driving hard bop, and sensitive ballads. He has played with several Croatian jazz combos, e.g. Argus Jazz Band and Sing Song Swing, with whom he appeared both in Croatia and abroad (Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina). His favorite jazz saxophonists include Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, and Lester Young. The trio is completed by Ralf Dorrell on bass and Rob Brian on drums.
