JAZZ: Graham Dent Quintet

This month the guests at Graham Dent’s regular 3rd Sunday jazz gig at the Cornerhouse are local singer Rosanna Schura and trumpeter John Plaxton. Rosanna studied at Trinity College of Music, and has brought her music to jazz clubs such as The Vortex in London and The Stables at Milton Keynes. She loves singing standards especially those by Duke Ellington and Cole Porter. Rosanna also sings and plays guitar in the folk-pop duo Lorikeet. John Plaxton is well established on the local jazz scene and consistently brings his stylish improvisation to the musical proceedings.
