Jazz: Nick Sorensen & Graham Dent Trio

This month’s guest with the Graham Dent Trio is Nick Sorensen (alto and soprano sax). Nick is “a fine, lyrical saxophonist” (Jazzwise Magazine), a creative and eclectic musician with a mesmerizing tone. Equally at home playing jazz standards, free improvisation and contemporary compositions he describes his playing as being “somewhere between Lol Coxhill and Lee Konitz”. He is a member of Kusanganisa, an intercultural band who toured in Brazil last year.
