Jazz: Nick Sorensen & Graham Dent Trio

3rd Sunday jazz at The Cornerhouse.  This month’s guest with the Graham Dent Trio is Nick Sorensen (alto and tenor sax).

Nick is “a fine, lyrical saxophonist” (Jazzwise Magazine), a creative and eclectic musician with a mesmerizing tone. Equally at home playing jazz standards, free improvisation and contemporary compositions he describes his playing as being “somewhere between Lol Coxhill and Lee Konitz”. He is also a member of Kusanganisa, an intercultural band who toured in Brazil in 2018.

Graham’s trio is completed by Adrian Smith on double bass and Josh Hampson on drums.
