Mel and Aliss are delighted to be hosting free lantern making workshops – there is a small cost for the lantern materials kits, available at our workshops.
If you’re making lanterns at home, please purchase directly from Frome Town Hall or Discover Frome.
These are family workshops, supervised children can join in! We will be making a simple lanterns using Somerset grown willow withies, tissue paper and glue. (Materials available to purchase at the venue)
Please book one workshop slot per adult or child. We would appreciate only booking on one workshop as we have limited places this year.

The workshops will take place on the following dates:
- Saturday 29th October, 10am, Frome Library – Pyramid lanterns
- Monday 14th November, 5.30pm, The Silk Mill – basic skills
- Wednesday 16th November, 4.30pm, The Silk Mill
- Thursday 17th November, 6pm, The Silk Mill
