Come and find out about Frome’s past and those involved with it.
The event will see attendance of many individuals and organisations involved in the town’s heritage, so visitors can learn more about what they do, ask history-related questions or learn how to research their own family history.
Alongside the stalls, there will be a series of ‘taster’ talks, upstairs in the meeting room. These will last 20 mins each and cover a variety of relevant topics. Speakers and timings will be displayed on the day.
FROME BLUE DAY
Whether or not you are attending the Local History Day at Frome Library the festival organisers encourage everyone in the town to wear at least one item of blue clothing on Saturday 20 May. This is to represent the colour of cloth that Frome became famous for during its cloth trade heyday.
The first 50 people through the door wearing at least one item of blue clothing will receive a free local history book.
