M.A.S open studios. Mount re-emerges from hiatus and Merchant Artspace launch new printmaking classes
Mount Art Services and Merchants Artspace are opening their studios on Sunday 3rd November at the Silk Mill with an informal exhibition of leading British & European artists including Henry Cliffe, John Hoyland RA, Michael Kenny RA, Albert Irvin RA and Patrick Wagner.
Mount Art Services is relaunching their framing and fine art printing services, including a new art installation service. Mount has altered their systems to make coming to see them easier for everybody, with simple prices and a new consultation area. The new installation service makes moving and installing artwork simple, whether you have a large art collection or are simply concerned about making sure your pictures are secured with the right fixings for your walls.
Alongside Mount’s relaunch, Merchants Artspace (M.A.S.) is launching a new printmaking studio at the Silk Mill. It offers workshops and classes for all age groups as well as a printmaking space open to all. There’ll be Saturday morning art class for kids, bespoke GCSE & A level art tuition, and a print club for adults. MAS explores all printmaking techniques, specialising in stone lithography. The studio has several large presses, including a very rare wooden French press – ‘La Bete A Cornes’ built in1870 in Paris.
