Join us for a conversation around what we can do as a group to start selling the things we make. Bring along your ideas (and your makes if you like). We’ll share practical ideas around supporting each other to sell our makes. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore ideas together.
You can book a ticket via eventbrite, or alternatively contact us via FB messenger or on 07434 667 373.
Make:Shed is a weekly workshop space for local young adults aged 18-35(ish) to connect and create. This session is a tutor-led session funded by Somerset Skills and Learning, it is free for Somerset residents, we’ll just need you to complete a few forms for our funders.
We coudn’t run these sessions without the support and generosity of local experts. This week, we are glad to be joined by Liz Huband.
Liz Huband, Founder of Badger House Leather
Liz has successfully turned her passion into a business and creates beautiful things from sustainable leather. She is committed to employing traditional saddlery skills in the development of contemporary design, using hand stitching techniques and keeping heritage craft skills alive and well. She has a regular stall at the Frome Independent Market, a studio at Black Swan Arts and she teaches workshops in Frome and beyond.
Tutor: Cassie Morris
Cassie is the Programmes Lead for Make:Shed and Routes. She is passionate about re-using/reimagining and upcycling items that could otherwise be heading for landfill and reducing waste more generally, making instead of buying, as well as bringing people together to inspire creativity, share skills, build confidence and improve wellbeing.
